Lehi Townhome

We really love this home. We are sad to leave Eagle Mountain however we know that this move is for the best. Finding this home has also made it easier to make the move. 🙂

I really dont know where to begin. So much has happened recently and since the last time I posted that I dont know what to post. So be patient as I get back into the blogging world!!!

First things first….

This little bird will be paying us a visit sometime in September. Yep thats right… We are pregnant! We found out January 7th. We told Garron’s family that night and the next day, but my family was out of town and so we waited till the following Sunday (about 4 days later) to tell them in a fun way.

The story…

We invited my family over for dinner that night. We usually get together for dinner at my parents but we wanted to share the news here so we had everyone over. A couple of days before that, I told my mom we had a fun game that we wanted to play that Garron used to play in scouts! That day was also fast Sunday and obviously I couldn’t fast but Garron was fasting about his job which later I was explaining to my family and I kept having to watch what I was saying to include me in the fast even though I didnt fast…. Did that make sense to anyone??

So after dinner we split everyone into two groups and explained that the game was to pop the ballons and get the papers inside. The first team to figure what the saying was, would win. My family is really competitive so it was hilarious to watch them run back and fourth to the ballons and find the papers and try and figure it out. The papers would spell out… “WE ARE HAVING A BABY”. Once they got to the baby pary (the words were scattered and out of order) my family FREAKED out!!! It was so fun and such a great memory to have.

This is how we are feeling.. a little!

We are SO excited to bring this little one into the world! Its been a rough ride with the pregnancy, however we can’t wait to meet our little baby!

Well some of you may know (I blog like a ton of people read this!!), my Grandparents are sending the family to…. drom roll….. HAWAII!!! We will be on the island of Kauai.

I  have never been to Hawaii and therefore, I am so excited. Garron has been I believe twice and my entire family has been at least once so now its my turn!!! My Grandparents are celebrating their 50th anniversary and decided to send everyone. They are flying everyone out, paying for the accomodations and rental cars, and I have a feeling that most of our meals will be covered by them. We are so grateful for my Grandparents. I love them so much! They have always been a major influence in my life and I appreciate the honorable people they are.

We leave for our trip in 11 days on Feb. 3rd and we are there for an entire week. Im looking forward to catching up on my rest and my sun-tan! Im trying to think of an idea for their gift but I am coming up short… Any ideas?

Here are the Grandparents during Christmas. They are full of energy and we love it!

So I know it’s been forever since I have updated the blog. I apologize. It’s been so crazy here with the move and traveling and then the holidays… I just don’t know where to start. So Ill start at the beginning….

We moved to Eagle Mountain, Utah on October 29th, 2008. As posted earlier, Garron got a new job that is based out of Orem, Utah, requiring us to move. We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives and more exciting is that we can do it together. Oh the joys of marriage! Garron’s Company was so great to let Garron fly out of Vegas for about 2 months while we worked out the financial side of moving. After everything was settled and the truck was loaded, we were on our way to Utah.

The Move

We originally were going to borrow my dad, grandpa, mom and Garron’s parents, to help us move. My mom’s good friend, Anne, has a trailer that she let us borrow and my dad has a trailer from work. We had most everything arranged to use the two trucks and two trailers. Well when it finally came down to it, we decided to rent a truck (Penske) because of the weather and space concerns as well.

Tuesday morning we went down to pick up the truck and Garron made a joke to the salesman to let us rent a 22’ for the same price as the 12’ we ordered. Well I thought the guy would just laugh in our face and say “Heck No, You crazy?” But instead, the gentleman said, “I don’t have any 22’s but I do have a 26’ I could give you for the same price.” Holy cow we were so excited. So we took the offer. We felt so lucky and blessed that we didn’t have to worry about space. We just had to worry about filling it up with gas!

So Garron, my dad, my grandpa, and Garron’s dad all helped us load up the truck. Tuesday night we slept at Garron’s parents for our last night in Vegas, as our whole life was in the truck. Wednesday morning, after some hassle, Garron headed off in the truck around 8:00 am. I was planning on leaving around 9 or 9:30 and then, because I could go faster then the truck, I would either beat or meet Garron at the house about the same time.

Well I still had to do some final touches with the move and I was sure taking my time! I had to run the Post Office and forward our mail. In the mean time, Garron’s dad was so kind to load the little things we forgot from the house, into my car. By the time I got back to the house, everything was ready and I was on my way around 10 am.

On the way up to Utah, I stopped in St. George to have lunch with my sister Kallie. Well she wanted to eat at El Pollo Loco, which I LOVE, but it does take some time. We had a great time but I didn’t end up on the road till about 1pm. So then it was another 4 hour drive to our new home.

Meanwhile, Garron was inching closer and closer to our house and getting more and more mad that I wasn’t close. He ended up getting to the house around 4 and I got there around 5pm. I came with pizza as to offset everyone’s anger towards me. We had a huge group to help us, my mom, my sister and her boyfriend, my two brothers, Garron’s speaker Art and his two boys and then I came to see everything all loaded and boxes ready for me to unload.

Thank you everyone who helped us in the huge process. We couldn’t have done it without you!

I have been searching and searching for a decent job and I havent had too much luck. So Im asking the blogging world for help! (Maybe that means I need professional help- like a therapist!)

My ideal job would have most of the following:

Some sort of Assistant
Full time (could have fridays off and work more during the week)
Something to keep me busy 90% of the time (or more).
Secretarial type work.

Its not much to ask for right? Do I really sound desperate or what?

Thank you! You can email me or comment here with any suggestions. My email is

Thank you!!!!

Tomorrow is my last day at work!!! I really can’t believe it is already here!! A couple of weeks ago, my work hired a replacement for me to train. They wanted to hurry and get someone so that I could train them and have them ready to go by the time I left. Well, they found someone faster then they though so she started about three weeks ago. Her name is Christina and she is doing great. I really cant wait to be out of here. For any of you who know me I HATE my job and these last few weeks have been so hard. Everyone here knows Im leaving so they dont really want to give me things to do, but they dont want me to get paid to just sit here (even though thats what Ive done for the past 9 months!!!). So its been rough and lets just say if I never have to set foot in this place ever again, I will live to be a happy women!!!!

Anyway, I have put off everything I need to do knowing that what I needed to do wouldnt take too long. Such as, cleaning out my folder on my work computer, cleaning out my desk and taking my stuff home. I probably have put it off because I know I have a ton of junk I need to take home and then it will be on my counter at home instead of on my desk at work. Either way it will get done.

Packing at home has gone pretty good. I have realized that I dont want to have my house be totally in boxes while Garron is away too. It already feels empty when he is gone and then with packing its pretty much a ghost town in there! Plus, Im pretty much OCD when it comes to organizing so I want to unpack everything from its place, set it out and organize it, then pack it in a box. Am I the only one who does that? I sure hope not! I plan to spend Friday night and all day Saturday actually putting things into boxes.

My parents have been so great through this whole move. They are always telling us how excited they are to have us there. I really cant wait to be there and get to know my family again. I feel like I have been away from home for FOREVER! They also have been so great to jump up and help us. They are planning on driving two trucks and two trailers down to pack up and drive them back, with all of our stuff. It really means a lot to me that they have offered so much in our behalf. THANKS FAM!

Garrons family has been great too. They have all expressed in some form how much they will miss us. I have grown to love each family member individually and I am sad at the thought of leaving them. Im sad that we will miss the daily interaction with them. Also, the little things that are big things like Trissa and her running her cross-country meets, the first time Joseph will say certain words, birthdays and chruch meetings. All are just little and yet over time they are the things that have brought our family close. I will never forget this year that I have spent in Las Vegas. We will probably end up back here but for now we know Heavenly Father wants us in Utah.

We feel so blessed to be able to make this move happen. We thank all of those who have helped us in any way, big or small. We love you!

We will try and get our internet up so that I can come back to the blogging world and post new pictures of our house.

Well for those of you who read our blog, you know that we are moving to Utah. I have been a little slack with posting details so I applogize. Here is an update.

We have been struggling with our Property Managers with getting out of our lease. I know that by leaving the premises before April 2009 we are in breach of our contract but they are being a little ridiculous. Once we mentioned the word “move” they started sending us emails and letters telling us that we WILL NOT get our deposit back (which I already knew), and we have to pay some additional fees. We have to pay to get the carpets cleaned which they told us would be about 100-200 dollars and also a “Releasing Fee” of $450!! I was so mad. I just thought that they were trying to get all the money they could from us before we left. Also, if we left the property and stopped paying rent, then they can hurt our credit for the what we didnt pay on our remaining lease. I was so frustrated and worried as to what to do.

I posted about us looking for renters a while ago at the slim chance we would have someone interested. Well, a long time friend of Garrons, Sara Young, contacted us and wanted to see the house. Both her and her hubby, Ryan, loved the house the minute they saw it. We were excited that we didnt have to worry about our credit and that we would have someone to take over or sign a new lease on our property.

After long talks with Garron and Jared, our brother-in-law who is an attorney, we contacted the property management with the Youngs name and number. The Property Managment company had the Young family fill out an application and they GOT APPROVED!

We also are getting our “Good Faith Deposit” back, thanks to Garron putting up a fight!

So we are moving to Utah in about 2 weeks. Its crazy to think that I wont be driving the streets of Las Vegas anymore. To think that we are leaving sun for snow and Nevada for Utah is very bittersweet. I think I will always love Vegas, for many reasons, but for the fact that Garron and I started our family here. We had our first home together in this area and experiences so many “Firsts” here. I love Utah and they are so many good things about this move, however, there are many sad things about leaving Las Vegas.

Here are some photos of our new home in Eagle Mountain, Utah. For all you family and friends, we will be having a house warming party in the upcoming weeks.

The view from the front. It looks small but wait till you get inside!

This is our Family Room, complete with hardwood floors and a fireplace! It huge too!

My BEAUTIFUL Kitchen! It is absolutely my favorite. (the fridge will be there when we get there). Also, the hardwood floors continue through the main floor.

This is a hallway that leads to the laundry room. The stairs lead to the basement. In the hall is this build in cabinet that has two computer stations with drawers. Great for when our kids start doing homework!

Last but not least…

The Laundy Room. The room is HUGE!! It will be really nice to have somewhere to keep all of our laundry soap and accesories.

Well thats the house. We are both really excited and cant wait to get all moved in and settled into our new home. I will post pictures once we move with the rooms and bathrooms and such. Enjoy for now!
