Thankful Thursdays (posted Friday)

Posted by: Abby Combs on: May 9, 2008

My sister in law (Brianna Johnson) every week does what she calls ” Marvelous Mondays”. I love to read over them as she states three things she is grateful for. It often makes me grateful for the same things. I have decided to incorporate this into my blog my doing “Thankful Thursdays”.

I really do love Thursdays. I don’t know why either! Remember in elementary school people would ask what your favorite day of the week is? Or it was always on the “All about Me” Worksheets we used to have to fill out. Well, I always (from what I can remember) put Thursday. Thursdays always have a different feel to them. Im sure it will change once I have kids and every day I will wake up feeling the same, but for now I love Thursdays. Maybe because its almost the weekend and that thought puts a smile on my face. Or maybe its because Garron plays basketball on Thursday nights and I get to watch whatever chick flick is on TV or put in whatever movie I want. The freedom of Thursdays always transforms me in to a little day-dreamer and therefore I have to decided to put my thoughts down for all of you to see! Enjoy!

I AM SO THANKFUL FOR:

1. My beautiful home: Garron and I after getting married moved into our first home together. It is located on the southwest part of Las Vegas about 10 minutes northwest of Garron’s parents home. It is a 3 bedroom 3 bath home and it is wonderful. Little by little we have put up the pictures, added the decorative baskets, hung up the towels, and settled in. I love having our own house that we are building into our home. A place to escape the world. I love that we are able to have guests over. So, when my family comes down we can have some of them or all of them staying at our house. I love my home!!

2. My hard working husband: Garron recently started a new job at United Signs. He is currently a Sales Manager. He is so eager to work to provide for me and our future family. He hated his old job and decided to look for a new one. It’s a good thing too, because he learned his last week there that they were getting rid of his department and he would be let go eventually. Garron loves his new job even though he has a lot of learning to do. He is so good at anything he does. He is a great example that if you set your mind to it and have a positive attitude you can do anything! I love him.

3. The priesthood in our home: I love that Garron holds the priesthood. Growing up I always had the priesthood in my home and I am grateful that I don’t have to go without it. Last night I had a bit of a breakdown and I knew that if I needed a blessing Garron could give me one right there and then.
